Andreas Deja: John Lasseter came in and announced that we were going to do shorts again, because Pixar’s doing shorts and it’s a good idea to nurture new talents and attach directors and storytellers to the new films, and everyone was thrilled. They were going to give the director of each short the choice to do them in whatever medium they wanted them to be in. So you can imagine that we have some that are going to be CG and some that are going to be 2D. John also mentioned that he would like to do something with the old characters again to bring them back and make them relevant. So then two story guys, Kevin and Stevie [first time directors Kevin Deters and Stevie Wermers], came up with an idea for a Goofy How To… I think Kevin had just had the experience of hooking up his own home theater and went through all that.

AD: Yeah, and the reason why this resonates, and maybe why the old How To… shorts did the same thing, is because they deal with current situations that people have been through. It’s not some half-cracked kind of a story. It’s what Goofy as a cartoon character goes through in trying to hook up his home theater, so many people will know what that’s like and the frustration involved.

Salut again.

Sorry i couldn't update my blog. It's been some time.

I started work at Saatchi and Saatchi and am very happy there.

But now am back on my blog and writing and drawing.

I found this really cool thing. they were talking about it on French TV a few weeks ago. It's called les Shadocks.

I just did something i never though i would do without thinking it through like a million times. the only thing i plan to the max: my career.
yesterday was my last day of work and i never felt better.
of course m taking some freelance for tomorrow but i'm going to have a nice vacation til my next adventure.
quitting my job was the hardest and easiest thing i had to do.
it feels so nice to have nothing , and enjoy your time. FOR THE TIME BEING HAHAHA
i think in the future, i would love working freelance. OR NOT WHO KNOWS??
always the stuff that i dreaded are the things that i get into in the end...

I found this site
it has in the end (waaaaaaaaaaay down ) a pencil test done by Pixar when it was at its beginning/ , it's called pencil test
and the computer were so old. there wasnt even quicktime.
i miss these old days. I remember when they used to teach us MS DOS> ROM and RAM at school. I still have some disquettes at home:) heheh

they are old (the videos), but it gets to you doesn't it ?;)

Meryl Streep was fantastic. A modern Cruella Deville with tons of Class and Presence (with capital letters )

I just remember so strongly the late Marc Davis (one of the Legendary 9 old men).If I was in his shoes, I would've loved to animate a character like the one portrayed by Meryl Streep.

Maybe it's me but I really like the movie. I know it came out a year or so ago , but there is something to it that i like and makes me want to see it again and again.

I just love the characters, their inner conflicts, their story and experiences each.i know there are other movies that have that too. but so what?? i liked it in this movie too ^_^

I guess I was on an emotional level at the time i saw it and it just made me feel like i wasn't alone there...
And when Kirsten Dunst says: "I'm impossible to forget, but i'm hard to remember". I just burst out of my seat the first time i heard it.

I just love Mary Blair's work , and m. Canemaker's book " the art and Flair of Mary Blair: an appreciation" on her is just a delight. No nice stuff. Just the real thing. La vie quoi... et l'art...

I did a lot of research in her work and today browsing through her illustrations is just waw.
I really recommend it to all aspiring artists.

Her style is an inspiration even if you're not in her style.
